Cultivating Perspectives on Landscape:

A postgraduate training workshop and conference on interdisciplinary
approaches to landscape research in the arts and humanities

University of St Andrews, 16th-17th November 2017

The aim of this workshop is to bring together doctoral researchers working on the perception and representation of landscape in the arts and humanities. Much of the essential theory in landscape research comes from social science, environmental studies, and cognitive studies, requiring arts and humanities students embarking on a research project to navigate unfamiliar fields. This workshop will provide expert training from established academics in a variety of approaches to landscape research, in addition to short research papers from postgraduate contributors from across Scotland.

Organising committee: Chloe Bray, Anahit Behrooz, Laura Donkers.
